PP Multiaxial Geogrid
- GeofanGrid PPM is a robust, multiaxial geogrid manufactured from PP with the most proven “punch-and-drawing” techniques by using the most sophisticated manufacturing technology.
- Solid sheets of polymer have apertures removed by punching, and then the sheet is carefully stretched to achieve optimum molecular orientation to ensure the maximum design life of the material as a high-modulus reinforcing layer within pavements.
- Typically used in basal reinforcement applications, the geogrid is used to absorb lateral forces that would be exerted upon the subgrade from traffic loading.
- This traffic loading is transferred to the geogrid by the interlocking action of the granular aggregate within the apertures of the multiaxial geogrid and the frictional resistance generated between the geogrid and sub base.
