Fiberglass Geogrid – Geofantex

  • High tensile strength, low elongation-glass fiber geogrid is made of glass fiber, which has high resistance to deformation, and the elongation at break is less than 3%.
  • No long-term creep-As a reinforcing material, it is extremely important to have the ability to resist deformation under long-term load, that is, creep resistance. The glass fiber will not creep, which ensures that the product can maintain long-term performance.
  • The thermal stability-the melting temperature of the glass fiber is above 1000 ℃, which ensures the thermal stability of the glass fiber geogrid during the paving operation.
  • Compatibility with asphalt mixture——The material coated in the post-treatment process of the glass fiber geogrid is designed for asphalt mixture. Each fiber is fully coated and has high compatibility with asphalt. This ensures that the glass fiber geogrid is not isolated from the asphalt mixture in the asphalt layer, but is firmly combined.
  • Physical and chemical stability-After coating with a special post-treatment agent, the glass fiber geogrid can resist all kinds of physical abrasion and chemical erosion, as well as resist biological erosion and climate change, and ensure that its performance is not affected.
  • Aggregate interlocking and restriction-because the fiberglass geogrid is a mesh structure, the aggregate in the asphalt concrete can penetrate through it, thus forming a mechanical interlocking. This restriction hinders the movement of the aggregate so that the asphalt mixture can achieve a better compaction state, higher load-bearing capacity, better load transfer performance, and smaller deformation under load.

Fiberglass Geogrid – Geofantex

Geofangrid FG is a biaxial geogrid made from fiberglass filaments, encased by a polymeric protective coating. This results in a high modulus of elasticity at low elongation that can offer a large increase in the effective service life of a road pavement structure.

Fiberglass Geogrid has equal tensile strength in both directions and has ultimate tensile strengths ranging from 25kN/m up to 200kN/m. Or could be manufactured according to your inquiry, MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY: 20’ft Container

The Applications of Fiberglass Geogrid – Geofantex

  • Reinforce the old asphalt concrete pavement to strengthen the asphalt surface to prevent and control diseases.
  • The cement concrete pavement is converted into a composite pavement to suppress reflection cracks caused by plate shrinkage.
  • Road extension and renovation project to prevent cracks caused by new and old junctions and uneven settlement.
  • Reinforcement treatment of soft soil foundation is conducive to water seepage and consolidation of soft soil, effectively inhibits settlement, uniform stress distribution, and enhances the overall strength of the roadbed.
  • The semi-rigid base layer of the newly built road produces shrinkage cracks, and it is reinforced to prevent road cracks caused by reflection of foundation cracks.

GEOFANTEX has an on-site Manufacturing Quality Assurance Laboratory at the factory. GEOFANTEX maintains a high level of quality and up-to-the-minute results on finished products through a fully equipped, well-staffed, dedicated laboratory existing in each of the manufacturing facilities. Each facility follows the same guidelines for evaluating the quality of GEOFANTEX products and is capable of adapting to market-driven requirements.
A. Objective
The objective of the GEOFANTEX Quality Assurance program is to define the implementation of basic manufacturing quality assurance (MQA) procedures necessary to ensure the consistent production of quality products supplied to the geosynthetic market. Note that at this time, these procedures are limited to Fiberglass Geogrid.
B. Scope
In order to achieve GEOFANTEX’s stated purpose, a rigorous set of minimum standards and an effective test program to assure compliance have been established. These procedures and requirements are frequently reviewed and adjusted to assure compliance with current market demands and/or predetermined project specifications. These procedures assure that raw materials and process parameters are controlled to provide products complying with GEOFANTEX’s pre-defined minimum characteristics.

PET Geogrid PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION

A. Roll Numbering

Each roll of Fiberglass Geogrid is assigned a unique roll number. The Quality Assurance Laboratory maintains records documenting the raw materials and resulting product quality information.

B. Approval Procedure

Results for each tested roll of the product are checked against both GEOFANTEX China standard and customer specifications for compliance. The Quality Assurance Laboratory approves those materials that meet these requirements for shipment.

C. Non-Conformance

Material that does not meet GEOFANTEX minimum standards is given a roll number but is rejected and not placed into inventory. The material is identified as scrap and will not be utilized. Material that meets GEOFANTEX minimum standards but does not meet a stricter customer specification is not allocated to that customer but is placed into inventory as GEOFANTEX standard material.

D. Documentation

Individual Quality Assurance Certificates are generated and supplied for each roll of Fiberglass Geogrid product to include all relevant quality assurance information about the material(s).
